We started this for our son.

Our son, Musa, was born at 23 weeks — barely a pound, with a due date still four months away. What came next was a long stretch in the NICU, more surgeries than any newborn should have to face, and a crash course in a world we never planned to enter: the world of tube feeding.

Bringing him home meant running a feeding pump and milk bag around the clock — at the crib, on the couch, in the car seat, everywhere he went. We just needed a simple way to hold it all together in one place. Instead, the holders we found ran north of $80 once you added almost $40 in shipping — a lot to ask of a family already stretched thin, for a small part you end up needing more than once.

So we made our own. We didn't invent it from scratch — there are already some genuinely thoughtful tube-feeding holders out there, and we learned from them. Then, as a family, we shaped a design and the small personal touches that actually fit real life with the Moog Infinity pump we rely on, refining it until it felt right.

That's what Our Thriving Duckling is really about: making good feeding gear affordable and easy to get, so no family has to pay $80 and wait on shipping for something they need today. And this holder is just the beginning — we have more projects on the way, each built around the same goal of helping families like ours carry a little bit less.

Feeding gear that's genuinely affordable and easy to get.

A duckling grows into its strength on its own timeline. So does every baby who comes through this. That's the whole idea behind the name — and behind everything we plan to make next.
